This book is an excellent first book for those not familiar with Islam and those who practice it. Origins of Islam and a rather complete discussion of this religion then and now are valuable parts of this work by two editors who obviously have an extensive background to back up their work.
This volume offers a Christian perspective on Islam. It tries to dispel some of the barriers and prejudices that hinder personal relationships between Muslims and Christians. First published in 1985, it was comprehensively revised and updated in 1993. Christian witness to Muslims has been weak, and the intention of the book is to inform, encourage and challenge Christians to reach Muslims with the Gospel in a loving and intelligent way. reading. The book can be read privately or can form the basis for a course on Islam.
